HEINZ 57 LEAMINGTON

Ron painted this piece as a dedication to all those who committed their lives to their careers as Heinz workers and to all the local Leamington, Ontario farmers who supplied millions of bushels of top quality tomatoes over many decades. Unfortunately, the plant was sold off in 2014 and a high percentage of these loyal workers were forced into early retirement or job changes. I will always remember the days when driving past the factory and catching the overwhelming scent of vegetable soup wafting through the air.
