The building on the left in shaded tones of grey is the actual front or street facing facade of the “Rising Sun”. The House of the Rising Sun building is located in New Orleans, it is quite a simple building in stucco with three levels.

The neighboring brick building to its left is the hotel that was actually used in the movie Double Jeopardy starring Tommy Lee Jones, Ashley Judd, and Bruce Greenwood.

When I met with Eric I asked him for his favorite photo from the past and one that he would like me to use from current day.

The upper one was Eric at the time the painting was produced and the lower picture was the very last picture that was taken of him just before the hugely famous rock the Animals broke up.
